I offer treatment approaches tailored to your body’s unique needs.
For those seeking relief from tension and stress, Traditional Table Massage uses familiar techniques, such as Swedish and Deep Tissue, to address your needs. I will ask you about areas you’d like me to focus on and those you’d like me to avoid, then step out and allow you to disrobe to your comfort in privacy, and use unscented, non-allergenic lotion to perform a traditional massage for relaxation, circulation, and tension.
Traditional Table Massage
If you have an injury, an area of chronic dysfunction, or are recovering from surgery, I will make a deeper assessment to identify areas of damage and imbalance, and utilize a wider variety of more advanced techniques such as Myofascial Release, Craniosacral, and Tui Na, to address the problem. I may step out to allow you to disrobe but in some cases I may not, so wear comfortable clothing (t-shirts, tights, shorts, etc) that can be manipulated without being damaged. Stretches or exercises may be recommended for home practice to improve or solidify results of treatment.
Advanced Therapeutic Massage
For those seeking a deeper understanding of their body, the sources of pain and disharmony, and how to better balance their energies, this approach will utilize a mixture of traditional and advanced techniques to help relieve pain and rebalance the body’s energies. I will likely prompt you to describe what you’re feeling, thinking, or sensing from particular areas of the body, but I also may ask you to remain silent and perform mental tasks, such as visualizations or meditative practices. Holistic massage is a collaborative effort, so come prepared to be a mindful, active participant in the process.
